Hello Teachers!

I hope you are enjoying your summer and getting the rest and relaxation that you deserve! As we look forward to an amazing school year, we are holding our July Teacher Tuesday a little later on July 28th!  This gives us time to enjoy those last few weeks of the break and to invite friends to check out our virtual learning.  Yes-you read that right–this one is open to anyone who would like to sign up. So forward this email to your friends and colleagues so they can get registered today!

July’s Teacher Tuesday will be with the amazing Institute for Curriculum Resources!

The Texas Gateway: The Galveston Movement and the Shaping of Jewish Immigration (1880–1924)

This session will explore Jewish immigration in the early 20th century, with a focus on the Galveston Plan, and its relation to the larger immigrant story in the U.S. Participants will receive context for Jewish immigration, discuss the push/pull factors that brought Jewish immigrants to America , understand the cultural pressures and contributions of Jewish Americans, and grapple with the repercussions of the 1924 Immigration Act.

So join us Tuesday, July 28 from 6pm to 7:30pm for some great learning!!
