As educators, your voice is vital in shaping policies that impact our classrooms and communities. The Texas Council for the Social Studies is pleased to invite you to a special Zoom meeting focused on advocacy during the legislative session. Our special guest speaker is JoLisa Hoover from Raise Your Hand Texas, and she’ll help us learn the ins and outs of working with the legislative process.
This meeting will provide valuable insights and practical strategies, including:
How teachers can get involved in advocacy efforts.
Understanding the legislative process and its impact on education.
How to engage with the process from anywhere in Texas.
Building and leveraging local coalitions to amplify your voice.
