Hello all!
I hope your school year has started out with lots of smiles and learning! A new year is a great chance to try new things and our TEACHER TUESDAY this month can help you. On Tuesday, September 8, from 6pm to 7:30pm, we will be learning from the Texas Historical Commission.
From Telling to Questioning: Transforming Classroom Learning Through InquiryJoin us for an engaging and practical live webinar designed to help educators transform classroom instruction through inquiry-based learning. In this session, participants will explore how to move beyond traditional, lecture-driven teaching and instead design learning experiences that position students as active thinkers, questioners, and problem-solvers. Grounded in the Inquiry Design Model (IDM), this webinar will guide educators in creating compelling, student-centered questions, integrating meaningful sources, and designing performance tasks that promote evidence-based reasoning and deeper understanding.
Through real classroom examples and interactive virtual activities, educators will walk away with actionable strategies to spark curiosity, increase student engagement, and foster critical thinking across content areas. This session also highlights best practices that align with TEKS and support rigorous, student-centered instruction; empowering teachers to shift from simply delivering content to facilitating powerful learning experiences where students construct meaning, defend ideas, and take ownership of their learning.
Join us Tuesday, September 8 from 6pm to 7:30pm for some great learning!! Register Today! Free for all TXCSS members!
